How to Get More Power in Steal a Superpower (And Which Options to Use)

Last updated:

Power comes from upgrades, trails and auras in Steal a Superpower. Here's where to find them, plus Power Potion codes and the paid store options.

Quick answer

Power comes from upgrades, trails and auras; the Upgrades icon in the left icon menu (alongside Rebirth, Shop, Abilities and Worlds) is the documented menu home for upgrades, and the trails and auras guides cover the other two types. Power Potions from redeemable codes add a temporary boost, and the Roblox store lists paid boosters on top.

  • Upgrades, trails and auras boost Power, Health and speed as a group.
  • Power Potion codes put a free, temporary boost in your inventory — the codes page keeps the current list.
  • Your Power shows in the bottom-left of the HUD and is ranked on the Top Power leaderboard.

Power is the stat Steal a Superpower ranks on its Top Power leaderboard, and the game gives you three standing ways to raise it: upgrades, trails and auras. All three types also boost Health and speed as a group; the game doesn't say what any individual purchase does to the other stats. On top of that trio, temporary Power Potions come from redeemable codes, and the Roblox store carries paid boosters if you want to spend.

Where your Power shows up

Your Power sits in the bottom-left corner of the HUD next to your level. A brand-new save reads '0 Power' at 'Level 1' with a '0 / 100' progress bar, and the banner along the bottom points you to your first task: 'Lift weights on your bench'. The same stat the HUD shows is the one the Top Power leaderboard tracks, so the corner readout and the leaderboard are two views of one number. For how Power fits with your other stats, see our stats guide.

Upgrades, trails and auras: the standing routes

Upgrades, trails and auras are the item types the game itself names for getting stronger — the official description tells players to 'GET STRONGER with upgrades, trails and auras that boost your Power, Health and speed'. The Upgrades icon in the left icon menu sits alongside Rebirth, Shop, Abilities and Worlds; the game names upgrades, trails and auras as the get-stronger routes, and our per-type guides cover each one.

As a group, these three types boost Power, Health and speed together; the sources don't break down what each individual purchase does. Our upgrades guide, trails guide and auras guide break down each type in detail.

Power Potions: the free boost from codes

Codes are the zero-cost way to put a Power Potion in your inventory. Potion codes so far have granted Power Potions in both documented tiers — for example 10KLIKES, which granted a Power Potion III, and 1KCCU, which granted a Power Potion II. Potions are temporary boosts rather than permanent stat gains, so think of them as a short edge layered on top of your upgrades, not a replacement for them.

Code availability changes over time, so pull the current list from our Steal a Superpower codes page — it keeps the live codes and the redemption steps up to date. For more on how Potions behave once you have them, see the potions guide.

The bench: where every new save starts

Before any menus, the game points you at a bench. Lifting weights there trains your strength, and strength is what lets you venture further and further out to defeat foes. Beating foes rewards Packs, and Packs hold new powers for you to equip — that lift, fight further, open Packs cycle is the engine of the early game. Our packs guide covers what Packs offer, and the beginner guide covers the early game in more depth.

The store sells boosters for Robux as well. The lineup includes products named 2x Power (R$3), Gift 2x Power (R$3) and 4x Power (R$9), a White Trail for R$6, and Bench Upgrade products across several level bands:

ProductPrice
2x PowerR$3
Gift 2x PowerR$3
4x PowerR$9
Bench Upgrade (Lv 1-5)R$1
Bench Upgrade (Lv 6-10)R$5
Bench Upgrade (Lv 100-104)R$3
Bench Upgrade (Lv 105-109)R$7
White TrailR$6

Two things to know before spending. The White Trail is the trail type from the trio above appearing as a store product, and the Bench Upgrade products carry the name of the bench you train on. Also, the listing gives you each product's name and price but not a detailed effect breakdown, so check what a product says it does inside the game before you buy.

Which options should you use?

  • Upgrades, trails and auras — your standing plan. They are the routes the game names for raising Power, and as a group they also work on Health and speed.
  • Power Potion codes — grab them whenever they're live. They're free and they boost Power, but they're temporary, so treat them as a short edge on top of your standing Power plan.
  • Robux products — optional. The names are clear (2x Power, 4x Power), but confirm what a product does in-game before paying for it.
  • Bench training — not really a choice, more the loop the game starts you on: lift, push further out, beat foes, collect Packs.

Taking it to the Top Power leaderboard

Power has a competitive payoff: it is one of the two stats the game ranks publicly, next to Cash on the Top Cash leaderboard, and the official description invites players to 'CLIMB THE LEADERBOARDS for Top Cash and Top Power'. Since upgrades, trails and auras are what raise Power, those routes are your ladder to that board — our leaderboards page has the rest.
