Steal a Superpower Base Guide: Earn Cash From Your Ability Cards
Place your ability cards on holders at your base and they keep earning cash even while you fight. How the base economy works and how to get your first holders paying out.
Quick answer
Put your ability cards on the holders at your base. Cards on holders earn cash for you, and they keep producing even while you are out fighting — that steady holder income is what your base is for.
- Open ability packs to collect ability cards; packs come from defeating bosses or redeeming codes.
- Each card can either be equipped for its superpower or placed on a holder at your base to generate cash.
- Based cards keep earning while you fight, so battling and banking cash happen at the same time.
That pairing — pack-based power collecting on one side, a base-building economy on the other — is what Steal a Superpower is built around.

How your base earns cash from cards
Card packs are the heart of the loop. You get packs by defeating bosses or by redeeming codes, and opening them adds ability cards to your collection. Every card carries its own unique superpower, and each one has two possible jobs: it can be equipped so you can fight with its power yourself, or it can be stationed at your base.
Cards placed on the holders at your base earn cash for you, and they do not pause when combat starts — your base income keeps running while you are out fighting. In other words, the time you spend chasing bosses and smashing through zones is also time every card you have based is producing cash.
Getting your first holders earning
The game's own first steps put this income online early:
- Open an ability pack to collect your first card and its power.
- Place your cards on holders so they start earning cash for you.
That is all it takes. Once your cards are on holders, they keep earning even while you are fighting, so you can head straight back out into the zones and let the income run in the background.
Equipping a card vs. basing it
Because every card can go to either place, the decision is simply what you want from that card right now:
- Equip it when you want to fight with its unique superpower yourself.
- Base it when you want it on a holder, generating cash while you play.
The choice applies card by card, so the cards you are not equipping can sit on holders and earn at the same time. As you defeat more bosses and open more packs, the new cards you pull give you fresh candidates for your holders, and your based lineup can keep growing right alongside your equipped powers.
More cards means more holder income
The simplest way to raise what your base earns is to give it more cards to base. A Legend Pack adds extra cards to your collection right away, which means more cards you can place on holders for steady cash while you keep fighting. There is a free Legend Pack you can claim for liking the game and joining the group, making it an easy early boost to your base lineup.
Redeeming codes is the other way to pick up packs beyond what bosses award. For a closer look at how packs themselves work, see the packs guide.
Cash and the Top Cash leaderboard
The resource your holders produce is Cash, and the game tracks it on the Top Cash leaderboard. Since holder income keeps running whether you are mid-fight or not, everything you have based keeps contributing to that total while you play.
